Ingredients

  • 400 g beef carpaccio (thin slices)
  • 220 g Tomato sauce
  • 150 g peas (pre-cooked)
  • 1 mozzarella, cut into pieces
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil for greasing the baking dish
Preparation

Start by preheating the oven to 180 °C and preparing the baking dish: drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil and spread it evenly on the bottom so the meat doesn’t stick while cooking.

Now cook the peas. Take a small saucepan, add a drizzle of oil, and warm it slightly. Pour in the peas, add a pinch of salt and, if you like, a bit of black pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until they become tender but still have a nice bright green color. Turn off the heat and set them aside.

Next, prepare the baking dish: arrange the slices of beef in the dish, making sure to leave a little space between each slice. Take the Tomato sauce and spoon it over some of the slices, spreading it gently to coat the meat well. This sauce, rich in intense flavors thanks to cumin, turmeric, and ginger, will add a special aromatic touch to the recipe.

On each of these slices with sauce, add a handful of the cooked peas, a sprinkle of black pepper, and a piece of mozzarella to give the dish some creaminess. Finally, add a pinch of chopped onion for a fresh, slightly sharp note.

Now move on to the other slices of beef, the ones without sauce. Top them with pieces of mozzarella, peas, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors, then gently fold these slices over themselves to form small stuffed beef bites. Arrange them in the dish next to the slices with sauce so all the flavors can blend while cooking.

For a final touch, drizzle a few drops of soy sauce over all the bites. Add a few extra pieces of onion, which will serve as decoration and add an aromatic note.

Now all that’s left is to bake the dish. Cook for about 15–20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the mozzarella starts to melt.

When the cooking is done, remove from the oven and serve the bites piping hot. The result is a dish that combines sweet and spicy flavors — perfect for a cozy, comforting autumn meal. Enjoy!
